2004 Jamis Dakar Sport
My very first true mountain bike... This is the bike that started it all. SRAM drivetrain set up with a Float R in the rear and an unknown Eagle Spinner up front. Hundreds of miles were put on this bike and it was a little hard to let it go but it helped pay for bigger better things...SOLD!
2005 Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0 20th Anniversary Special Edition
To this day the Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0 remains one of my favorite bikes. It was my companion throughout a Moab trip and helped break me in to countless Wasatch Trails. Shimano drivetrain with the Minute 1:00 up front and the Swinger 3 way in the rear. Sold. (After a very long season of riding.)
2010 Gary Fisher Genesis Advance 2.0
Picked this bike up from a guy who wanted quick cash for some whiskey. Cleaned it up a little. Took it on a few trails then helped it on its way...SOLD!
2005 Jamis Dakar XLT 2.0 20th Anniversary Special Edition
Hard to come by trail eating machine. Massive Hope Mono 6ti brake in the rear and the Minute 2:00 with IT up front and the 4 way in the rear. Jamis built some solid rides in 05 and this is one of the best. Also, my current ride.
2007 Jamis Dakar XLT 1.0
Bought this from a guy who got it for his wife who never rode it, sold it to a guy who bought it for his girlfriend. History repeating itself...
2004 Gary Fisher Cake DLX 3
A delicious XC ride that climbed like a mountain goat. Only got a few rides on this bike before I handed it over to my brother who rode it into the dirt up at Utah State. A funeral service was held shortly before it was sold.
2010 Specialized Hardrock 29er
Bought this for a friend, first and only 29er. Also the first chance I had to ride a highly acclaimed Specialized product. Not too impressed. Sold...
2003 GT i-Drive 6.0
A very interesting suspension design this bike was unexpectedly an absolute blast to tear down the mountain and climbed like a hardtail. Intrigued by the unique i-Drive suspension, but not enough time to explore it further...SOLD!
2003 Kona Dawg
A solid ride...back in 2003. Despite the new bomber you cannot teach an old Dawg new tricks. After countless tune-ups this Dawg was ready to go...mountain biking again! SOLD!
2005 K2 Crush
Hoping it would be a good deal with all they extras that were included in the purchase, but after stripping it down, cleaning and lubing everything back up, then putting it back together, realized it was best to let the mountain decide its fate...SOLD!
Univega?
I received this bike from a friend who found it in his back yard covered in weeds and vines. Took it home. Sprayed it with some Roundup and waited the required 24 hours then stripped it down, chipped off as much rust as I could, stuck some stickers on it then put it back together. Sold... Surprisingly.
2004 Raleigh Ram xt200
Almost a heavier version of my 1.0 I had high hopes for the Ram. Took it down my favorite trail one Saturday and was not too impressed. Cranking it up the mountain was a chore and going down wasn't much better. Sold.
2009 Mongoose Khyber Elite
My first downhill bike it was a purchase I couldn't pass up. The intrigue of a Mongoose with the Marzocchi Roco Air R in the rear and the RockShox Domain 318 up front was just something I had try. This thing is a downhill tank with one of the most intricate suspension designs I have ever seen. It's something that won't ever go on sale at Walmart.
2006 Kona Coiler
Started back in 1988 by a former MTB champion Kona has always produced very unique and extremely solid bikes. After a bit better experience than the Dawg, I hope to buy a few more of these in the future. Sold.
2006 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp
My very first full suspension Specialized. A very quality build helped me to experience first hand why Specialized is so big in both road and mountain biking. A very good looking bike that was gone quickly...SOLD!
2006 Trek Fuel EX 9.5
One of the best XC race bikes out there it was only appropriate that it was a race to buy the EX 9.5. We raced to Draper and found out the seller gave another buyer first dibs, so we anxiously waited while the other buyer looked at the bike and after out bidding the other buyer $20 we were fortunate enough to take the Trek home. From the very beginning the Trek Fuel has always been one of my dream bikes and I can't wait to hit the trails on my very first Trek! SOLD.
